1         Levels & Syllabus

Level 1 (beginner)

To develop expressive communication and cultural understanding for natural interaction in diverse settings.

After completing this level, students will be able to express opinions, suggestions, and emotions with greater nuance and accuracy. They will learn to discuss topics related to work, education, and culture while applying more complex grammar structures such as connectives and indirect speech. They will also improve their comprehension of intermediate-level narratives and explanatory texts.

Level 2 (beginner)

To enhance basic communication skills for everyday situations and expand essential vocabulary.

Students will develop confidence in describing familiar topics such as the weather, food, hobbies, and future plans. They will be able to ask for and give simple directions, use basic past and future tense patterns, and participate in short, meaningful conversations in everyday settings such as restaurants, shops, and public transportation.

Level 3 (Upper-beginner)

To improve conversational fluency and grammar accuracy for common social situations.

Students will be able to express personal experiences, plans, and desires using correct sentence structures. They will learn to share feelings, opinions, and reasons in clear and polite ways, while appropriately using both formal and informal speech levels. Additionally, they will gain the ability to understand and respond to short written texts such as messages, notices, and brochures.

Level 4 (Upper-beginner)

To strengthen communication skills and comprehension of more detailed daily and cultural contexts.

Students will be able to describe past experiences, compare situations, and explain causes, conditions, and purposes in various contexts. They will expand their grammar knowledge and vocabulary to create more complex sentences and express ideas more naturally. Furthermore, they will develop cultural awareness and understand differences in communication styles and etiquette in Korean society.

Level 5 (Intermediate)

They will learn to discuss topics related to work, education, and culture while applying more complex grammar structures such as connectives and indirect speech. They will also improve their comprehension of intermediate-level narratives and explanatory texts.

Level 6 (Intermediate)

To enhance analytical thinking and contextual understanding in mid-level Korean communication.

Students will learn to present opinions and logical arguments fluently and use appropriate speech levels depending on the social relationship or situation. They will develop the ability to understand semi-formal texts such as articles, interviews, and discussions, and to use idiomatic expressions and colloquial phrases naturally in conversation.

Level 7 (Upper-intermediate)

To build advanced fluency for discussions and reading longer texts with complex structures.

Upon completing this course, students will be able to discuss various social and cultural topics with well-organized personal opinions. They will become familiar with formal and academic expressions and understand longer and more complex texts such as essays and news articles. Students will also learn to adjust tone and register appropriately in both formal and informal situations.

Level 8 (Upper-intermediate)

To master professional and academic communication with advanced expression and deep cultural understanding.

At this level, students will gain the ability to express critical and abstract ideas clearly and logically, both in speaking and writing. They will be able to produce detailed descriptive and argumentative texts and understand nuanced social and cultural meanings in advanced Korean. This course equips learners to communicate confidently in professional, academic, or cross-cultural environments.
